IT'S A GIRL!!!! Yippee, we are so excited! We have our princess. We are blessed with a baby no matter the gender but we really wanted a girl and are so happy! Kyle's saying has been, “first the Princess and then the Heir”, and that's exactly what we get.
The Doctor said, “Nancy, she's the most beautiful baby we've seen all day!” and Nancy agreed. He also said she is perfect. We are such the proud Mama and Papa! She has everything, eyes, a nose, a chin, arms, legs and a little tush, she is perfect. Kyle says the amniotic sac that shows up in the ultrasound pic is her angel, I love that. In the ultrasound we could see the chambers of her heart gushing in and out and her strong little heart beating, and by we I mean me and my entourage, Kyle and my Mom and Dad. There were several women in the waiting room that were having problems with their babies and some that couldn't get a very good ultrasound because the baby was in the wrong position. My precious little plum however started things off right- the very first image she was butt up with her legs wide open, as if she was saying, “Look Mommy, look Daddy, I'm a girl!”
The proud papa didn't even wait til after the ultrasound to start calling family and friends and the doctor had to tell my super cute husband no phones in the room,. As soon as we stepped out he started calling down the list of our moms and dads and aunts and uncles. I am pretty sure he updated his facebook status in the room too. It's been a few days since the ultrasound and he carries her picture in his truck with him and shows it to everyone on the job. He is already the best daddy and I am the luckiest girl in the world to be married to him.
After the doctor's visit we went to Babies-R-Us to do some gender specific registering. Kyle had the gun and he and my mom pretty much knocked out the whole registry list aside from furniture and a stroller and diapers. He started with electronics of course, making sense of the monitors and going through all the scenarios of being in the other room and exactly how far the signal had to travel. He was cute as can be going through the bottles and boppys and breast pumps and krinkling his forehead at the nipple shields. We got a second gun for my dad and he joined in on the festivities. I lost him somewhere in the gliders and picked him back up in the stroller section. By the time we got to the cribs and dressers we were all leaning against things and then we found Kyle, cuddle up on a short bed with his feet hanging off the edge. The day was over and we were all tuckered out.
We can't wait to meet you Bumblebee.
